Walking Path    

Our newly developed walking path is a great addition to the Rugby area. The walking path is 3 miles of paved path and 26 acres of Nature Park. Enjoy the scenery while you get your workout in. The walking path takes you through out the city and into newly established developments.

• Recieved North Dakota Department of Transportation Enhancment Grant for 2003 and 20
• 80/20 match for Phase III to be done in 2004
• Approximate grant of 111,000 for walkway and bridge
• Garrison Diversion Water Conservancy: $18,000 in 2001, & $18,000 in 2002
• Pierce County: In-kind Labor and Material $11,222
• City of Rugby: Assistance with paving $6000
• Land Donation and In-kind Labor: 67,000 in 2001, & 100,000 in 2002
• ND Parks and Recreation Grant: 80/20 Match 40,000 in 2003
• ND DOT (portion of path along Highway 2) 80/20 Cost Shar Approx. $12,200
• ND Forest Service/America the Beautiful Grant: 50/50 grant for $3,480
• Rugby Chamber of Commerce: $250 Grant in 2001
• Misscellaneous Donors: labor & materials
