Attractions Title

Amtrak Depot

The Amtrak Depot is a historic part of our community. Built in 1907, the depot brings visitors, travelers and business to our community. Below is an article that was in the local newspaper in June, 1907.

Rugby's new $50,000 Depot. (article from June 27th, 1907)
Friday evening marked the occasion of the opening of the new G. N. Depot, a reception and grand ball being give to commenorate the event. A large reception of our citizens were present and Superintendent Stewart and a party of Minot people were also here to take part in the event. The people of Rugby and adjacent territory are very proud of this new structure, and it is a fine monument to the business of G. N. at this point.
As before stated in this paper, the building is modern in every way, every convience being afforted for traveling public and employees, and both the interior and exterior are finished in a style that makes the building a very beautiful improvment to our city.
